Crevoshay Museum Exhibits

Voices of the Earth was conceived to showcase the work of the best North American gem carvers the Crevoshay values as geniuses of her generation. Each was invited to collaborate on jewels that showcased the height of their artistic expression and individual style around themes of nature. The results were astounding. The exhibition opened at the Carnegie Museum and collection then traveled to the GIA Museum and the Lizzadro Museum.

Following the success of Voices of the Earth, Elements was created. The collection was build around the theme of the five elements of Fire, Earth, Air, Water and Ether or Spirit. This collection was more focused thematically, and with a smaller group of carvers pushed the artistic envelope of each artist even farther.

  • The Continuum

The Continuum collection celebrates renewal and the cycle of life. Crevoshay reminds us that there is beauty and hope all around us, and new life will always emerge from even the darkest winter.

Beyond Color was created in response to an invitation from the Headley Whitney Museum to contribute a 40 piece collection for the inaugural exhibition of their new decorative arts wing. Crevoshay, renowned for her extraordinary color work, decided to focus on the shapes, themes and motifs that she had developed to form the vocabulary of her artistic expression.

Paula Crevoshay’s latest museum show, “Garden of Light” opened with great fanfare on April 9, 2013 at the Carnegie Museum. Garden of Light is about how the three kingdoms of the garden come together so beautifully to create and sustain life. There will be fabulous jewels depicting members of the Floral, Animal and Mineral Kingdoms.

The Show came to a close mid August, 2013.

In her delightful illustrated talk Ms. Crevoshay took us through these developments–with special emphasis on jewelry–and drew parallels with our own time.

The Exhibit will run from February 2014 – April 2014
